The Other Side of Me 2017 Photo Campaign

May 9, 2017, 8:00pm - May 13, 2017, 1:30pm

The Other Side of Me is a photo campaign spearheaded by the Princeton USG University Student Life Committee and photographer Vincent Po. It seeks to provide an open and encouraging platform for students to engage in thoughtful reflection on the experiences, people, and ideas that have defined or changed who they are and how they think. On a campus where identity is so often associated with current commitments, future goals, and visible achievements, The Other Side of Me hopes to remind us all that everyone has another side to their lives, further catalyzing deeper discussion and fostering empathy in our daily interactions with one another. We welcome every story from every background, but do ask that whatever you say that it is borne not out of a desire to fill an empty space with words. Introspection is both incredibly difficult and incredibly rewarding, and we simply ask that everyone who participates understands this and speaks out of a real desire to share. Photos will be taken in Frist MPR A from 8PM - 10PM Tuesday 5/9, Saturday 5/13 1:30pm-3:30pm in Frist MPR B/C and Sunday 5/14 1:30pm-3:30pm and is open to the public. Note that even if you come to take a photo, there will no pressure should you decide you do not want to share anymore. You do not need to come with your story written either; we encourage you to reflect on it for as long as possible before you share with us and the Princeton community as a whole.
