USG Year-In-Review

Here’s a brief glimpse at what USG has accomplished in the past year! Our core mission has been to build connections between students, administrators, and information. Take a look at how we carried out that vision!

On behalf of Shawon, USG’s president-elect, I’m pleased to announce that USG is now accepting applications for its appointed positions for 2013-2014!

Why Apply?
This is a chance to see the inner workings of USG, and most importantly, serve your peers in a great capacity. I started in an appointed position myself! In USG I’ve learned how to:

  • Manage a Team
  • Create and Meet a Budget
  • Problem-Solve with a Deadline
  • And much more you don’t get in the classroom

    • Plus, Shawon and Carmina are two of the most creative, energetic, and hard-working people I’ve met, so I know you will enjoy being a part of this team!

    Winter Celebration!

    Join the Frist Student Events Committee, Office of the Dean of Undergraduate Students, and USG Social Committee on Friday, December 7th–

    1. Start off at ”Winter Wonderland“ (4-6pm) 

         Where: Frist Campus Center
         Why: Grab food and drinks
                   Take photos in a snowglobe photobooth
                   Make cards and mini snowglobes
                   Buy some great holiday gifts!

    2. Next, head to the Acapella Jam (6-8pm) 

         Where: Palmer Square
         Why: Hear Princeton’s very own Footnotes, Nassoons, Tigerlillies, Shere Khan, 
                  Tigressions, Wildcats, Tigertones, Koilenu and Kindred Spirits perform!
         Plus: We’ll be collecting toy donations for the YMCA St. Nicholas project!

    3. After, stop by any of these stores, show your prox, and get a sweet deal.
          Qdoba - Any entree and regular fountain drink for only $5 (+ tax) 
          House of Cupcakes - $1.85 for any cupcake
          Uncle Louie G’s - 1/2 off italian ices (+ discounted hot food options)
          Papery of Princeton - 20% off of in-store non-sale items
          Twist (manager said they’ll surprise us with a great deal)

    4. Finally, be merry with your friends and prepare for Skate Night (10:30pm-1:30am)
          Skate for Free with your PUID!!!
