Taste of Prospect is a project run every semester to give freshmen a preview of being in an eating club. Members of the freshman class can fill out a form indicating their availability and are assigned randomly to clubs that fit their schedule.
Last spring, over 250 freshmen signed up, all of which were assigned to a club and time that they could attend. We also encourage the eating clubs to include some sort of mentorship component – for example, some clubs paired freshmen with members to talk over dinner, and others gave their guests tours of the clubhouse. For future semesters, we hope to work with independent students and Co-ops to expand this event as an introduction to eating options more broadly.
