Registration for Freshman Class Council Elections is open now!

As you begin your Princeton career there are many ways to get involved, but I hope you will consider serving your fellow students in Class Government or the USG. Your first opportunity is to run for one of five spots on the freshman class council! If you wish to run for office, start by looking at join.tigerapps.org, and then there are a few things you must do:

Step 1: Attend a Mandatory Elections Open House

When: Thursday and Friday @ 9pm
Where: Frist 302

Step 2: Register as a candidate!

The strict deadline for all registration components is Sunday, September 30th at 5pm. Late registrations will not be accepted. By this deadline, you must:

• Submit the petition for USG office with 25 signatures by members of your class. Submit a hard copy with physical signatures to the mailbox located below the suggestion box on the USG Office door, Frist 204. Click here for this form. (Scroll to the bottom!)
• Submit the candidate registration form electronically. Click here for this form.
• Submit your candidate statement and photograph electronically. Once submitted, you may not edit or change your statement or photograph. Click here for this form.

Keep in mind, plenty of committee applications are going out tomorrow! Plus, in the winter you will also be able to run for a position in the USG Executive Committee or to represent your class on the USG Senate. In the spring you can run for a position on the U-Council or for a position in your sophomore class government. After Freshman year, the class council is replaced by five specific positions: President, Vice President, Social Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer. So this is not your only chance to join USG!
