Arts Weekend, leadership positions, a free movie, and more!

Hey Tigers!

There are many exciting announcements for you this week! :)

1. Join the Princeton Mental Health Initiative

The Princeton Mental Health Initiative aims to:

  • Improve access to campus resources relating to student mental health
  • Reduce the stigma surrounding mental health issues
  • Spark constructive dialogue around mental wellness

Now, we’re looking for students to join the team.

Learn more and apply here by Thursday, October 16th at 5:00 PM EST.

2. Enjoy Princeton Arts Weekend!

Princeton Arts Weekend starts today. Enjoy performances from student artists, dancers, poets, writers, and the like. You can find a full schedule of awesome events here.

For now, I’d like to highlight 3 events:

Reflections of Princeton by Briana Christophers

Friday, October 10th at 7:30 PM | Frist 1st Level (near the TV Lounge)

A photographic exhibition of Princeton’s architecture, flipped and twisted to reflect the topsy-turvy nature of the Princeton experience. There will be snacks!

Comedy Night featuring SMILE

Friday, October 10th at 9:00 PM | Richardson Auditorium

Smile is an autobiographical comedy show about clinical depression and the loss of first love. It tells the story of Clayton Raithel, who upon graduating from Princeton in 2012 felt he had it all, only to take a few wrong turns into adulthood and develop a chemical imbalance in his brain. Smile is certain to be a moving piece for individuals fighting depression, getting over relationships, and comedy fans alike.

But don’t get the wrong idea – it’s funny! Really funny. Check out the trailer here. Free tickets are available at the Frist Box Office. Check out the Facebook Event for details.

East Pyne Rave with Robert DeLong

Saturday, October 11th at 8:30 PM | East Pyne

One of EDM’s music electrifying and creative performers, Robert DeLong, is coming to East Pyne Courtyard for a full on rave! Come check out his amazing set, which will feature PLOrk (Princeton Laptop Orchestra), in addition to lighting and projections designed by Princeton students! DJ Sam Perricone will open the set.

Robert DeLong is also holding a masterclass in Woolworth 102 at 2 PM on Saturday. Electronic music guru, Jeff Snyder, will moderate the class and include live demonstrations of his performance rig.
