Lawnparties Fall 2014!!!!

It’s almost time for school to start and you know what that means….it’s almost time for Lawnparties yet again! This year’s Fall Lawnparties will take place on Sunday, September 14th.

You can find information about LP’s merchandise and guest tickets on our website. As we get closer to the date, we’ll send out information about food and activities.

Please note that you can only buy merchandise buy pre-ordering, and you only have until August 30th. Buy your LP’s shirt now before you forget!

You can start buying guest tickets on August 28th. All non-Princetonians must have a ticket. Tickets go quickly, so buy them before they sell out!

Now, for your headliners. 

I’m excited to announce that this fall, Schoolboy Q and Angel Haze are coming to Lawnparties!

Let me tell you why I’m so excited.

Schoolboy Q is a hip-hop artist based out of California. He is a member of the renowned collective Black Hippy (along with Ab Soul, Jay Rock, and Kendrick Lamar), and he recently finished up a world tour promoting his album, Oxymoron. Schoolboy’s first two albums were released by hip-hop’s best independent label, Top Dawg Entertainment, with Oxymoron being his first commercial release on Interscope. When it dropped, it was the #1 album on Billboard. Its lead single, Collard Greens, was a summer anthem and made Complex Magazine’s “50 Best Songs of 2013.”

Along with Schoolboy Q, Angel Haze was featured on the cover of XXL Magazine’s Freshman Class 2013. In her first major track, she tells it how it is: she’s crazy, nasty, and runs New York. The track, called New York, blew up the internet when it dropped and people have been talking about it ever since. But Haze is more than just an excellent rapper; she’s an outspoken activist. She has fought hard against the sexism and male chauvinism of hip-hop and is fervent in her attempt to eliminate rape culture and child abuse through her music.
